Applied Statistical Analysis using “R” Software

On February17, 2023, a workshop on "Applied Statistical Analysis using “R” Software " was held as a pre-event of the annual meeting of PERHEPI (Indonesian Society of Agricultural Economics), by an online - onsite hybrid using Zoom meeting platform, due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This workshop was co-sponsored and organized by the Indonesian Society of Agricultural Economics (PERHEPI), Risk Analysis Research Center, ISM and University of Lampung, Indonesia through the AgFReM framework. The participants learned about basics of R software using their own computers. The participants were first, introduced to the basic commands for statistical analysis, data handling and graphics in R. This was proceeded by the participants learning about single regression, multiple regression, and nonlinear regression models. Since this workshop was held as a hybrid of online and onsite event, the onsite instructor was able to effectively receive questions and comments, which allowed the workshop to be run efficiently. This was the first time we carried out an online - onsite hybrid workshop. In addition to the various tools available in the online meeting application, the onsite instructor made the workshop interactive, lively and fruitful. All participants expressed interest looking forward to a similar event next year. The workshop ended successfully with a total of 50 participants. It was organized by the lead professor, Prof. Bustanul Arifin of University of Lampung.
